The Maltese and English versions of the Picture Naming Task (Gatt, 2011) address children’s ability to name a series of photographic images, presented in a PowerPoint presentation, by retrieving the respective phonological representations from memory. Each language version elicits the production of 40 concrete nouns. Of these, 40% are common to both language tasks, providing information on children’s retrieval and production of translation equivalents.en_GB
