Abstract: An 84-year-old woman presented to the accident and emergency department with acute dyspnea and right lower limb “cramp-like” pain. She was admitted to a medical ward after being diagnosed with fast atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and pulmonary edema. While in the ward, she was noted to have a cool right foot.
