Abstract: This is a study of migrant integration from the standpoint of arts-based projects in Malta. This dissertation explores these projects, how and why they have been put into practice, and the challenges and perspectives surrounding them, as well as how they have attempted to facilitate the process of integration for migrants locally. The exploration of these projects was done through multiple individuals with hands on experience in this line of work, by utilizing an ethnographic method. This research also explores and analyses policies relevant to migrant integration as perceived by practitioners working with NGOs within the arts sector. This exploration serves as a complementary context towards a comparative understanding of the integration field in a more efficient manner. The conclusion is an attempt at strategies suggesting resolutions to the observed bureaucracy, that is still persisting relative to migrant integration.
