This dissertation entails a discussion of how domestic abuse and parental authority are intertwined together when both present. Article 154 Cap 16 is taken into consideration since it deals with parental authority and states when the latter can be revoked, even partially. Moreover, the Istanbul Convention and how it was implemented in Malta are discussed along with GREVIO’S report on such implementation. Furthermore, the suggestions within such report to aid Malta in enhancing the Convention’s spirit in its own laws are given special attention, particularly if directly revolved around domestic abuse and parental authority together.en_GB
