Abstract: The irony of democracy is that its fiercest critics are usually staunchest supporters, while those who postulate it, as democratically elected representatives of the people, tend to repress and transmute it into the dictatorship of the majority and of the rich and powerful. Thus, by its very nature, democracy necessitates misarchism, tlit fight against kleptocracy and corporatocracy. It demands ongoing reappraisals and reversals of the 'democratic' system which we take for granted as democracy, with the ultimate aim of its reappropriation and re-invention.
