Abstract: An update on the ongoing process of the adjustment to Brexit and the actual situation which it finds itself in is portrayed throughout this dissertation, with the main sectors of the dissertation focusing on traffic rights, passenger rights, certification and licensing, Safety measures together with Trade in general. The purpose of this dissertation is to explore and analyze post Brexit outcomes and repercussions which were brought about when the UK left the European union on the 31st of January 2020. Additionally, the scope is to see whether the UK is specifically moving towards a better situation, a more efficient system or whether it is trying to maintain its systematic air traffic methods in efforts of maintaining the reputation of the United Kingdom’s aviation industry. Having said this, the final aim of this dissertation is to see whether the UK is moving towards a better or substandard framework for the aviation industry and pertaining legislation through the implementation of new agreements and legislation which it has taken on board and amended. This dissertation is based on data and information sourced online as well as trade agreements entered into by the UK with EU member states. Once the transition period was terminated on the 31st of December 2020, Brexit effected not only the UK market but also effected International trade and the European domestic market. Unfortunately, COVID-19 clashed directly with Brexit hence the effects of the pandemic were not of the most positive nature on the adjustments of the UK’s aviation industry.
