Abstract: This study analyses the political dynamics of Malta’s LGBTIQ movement in its quest for increased rights. The study investigates the strategies of the movement, its impacts, and its positionality in the broader Maltese political landscape under the Labour governments in question. More specifically, the main research question of the study was, how did Malta’s LGBTIQ movement articulate its claims in its quest for rights? How did LGBTIQ organisations network to reach these goals?
