The University of Malta Library is home to an extensive collection of early pamphlets. This collection was originally housed within the Melitensia Special Collections Section but due to their unique and historical significance, these pamphlets now form part of the Archives and Rare Books section. These pamphlets offer a glimpse into the historical events taking place between the 17th and the early 20th century in Malta and the Mediterranean and also in Europe. The languages in which these pamphlets were written reflect the rulers of our Islands at the time. Languages include Latin, Italian, Portuguese, Maltese and English. The earliest pamphlet dates back to 1619.
