Heaven : sharing in the resurrection of Christ

Abstract

The major objective of this research is to expose the fact that the human person is only on a pilgrimage here on earth; a pilgrimage that leads either to eternal life or eternal damnation. The aim of this research is to whet the appetite of the reader of what to expect in Heaven. This study delves mainly into the writings of the early Church, the Old and New Testament, the documents of the Magisterium and the writings of the saints and theologians. The main contribution of this dissertation is that hopefully it instills in the heart of the reader a greater desire and an intense longing to reach eternity. This will in turn affect the daily living of those who desire and long for heaven. Therefore, the human person will start living life through the eternal perspective as from this very moment.
