Abstract: | It is really an honour for me to be here at the Annual Convention, and I thank Imam Laiq Ahmed Atif for his kind invitation. I shall approach the theme under examination from a Catholic and an interreligious point of view. I shall speak of religion in view of oneself and togetherness. 1. At the heart of religion, there is a narrative of a self-transformation. It starts with the realisation to be recognised. That’s the first thing that Jesus did at the famous moment of meeting with Nathanael (John 1:48). He surprised him by saying I saw you under the fig tree. It is the active recognition of love. |
