Abstract: The purpose of this dissertation titled ‘The Crime of Fraud with regards to Maltese Corporations: A Criminological Perspective’ is to highlight the challenges that many companies in Malta face regularly with regards to the crime of fraud. A focus falls upon Malta’s various issues as to how companies and corporations alike are targeted and how this effects all stakeholders involved with the companies in question. The objectives of this dissertation were accomplished through the use of semi-structured interviews with participants who chose to elaborate on the subject matter in question. Secondary deskbased data was used in conjunction with these interviews to obtain the best results possible. The results show that it is a daily battle to combat and deter fraud. The damages can be heavy and even irreparable. That is why a lot of resources go into the fight against financial crimes and specifically, fraud. The main point gathered from this research was that companies have shown proactive resilience against fraud and positively so. By practicing a high level of Anti-Financial Crime, such companies can go on with their day-to-day operations with little to no worry of being defrauded.
