| Abstract: | Gentlemen, I am directed by His Excellency the Governor to request the favour of your professional assistance, in reference to the fever which has, for some weeks, extensively prevailed in these islands, pervading all classes of the community, in all or almost all particular localities however differently circumstanced, - a fever, it is said, generally of short duration, but, in some instances, accompanied by more or less aggravated symptoms, such as pain in different parts of the body, and gastric disorder, leaving the patient in a state of great weakness for several days after.
