Li bi ħsiebni nagħmel hu Ii nagħti pinzellata ħafifa fuq il-ġrajjiet principali tal-Knisja lokali matul dan iż-żmien. Għalfejn pinzellata? Xejn għajr biex inkun nista' nfartar bit-mod il-ftit għabra u trab Ii setgħu ingemgħu maż-żmien. Nuża pinzell biex ma ntajjarx trab u forsi nagħtas. Trab Ii seta' gie minn nuqqas ta' kritika bilanċjata fuq dak Ii seħħ. |
| Description: | This brief article offers a rapid overview of the state of the Church in Malta in the 1980s. While referring to social changes in Maltese society, the text refers to the major highlights in the life and mission of the Church during an eventful decade. The author mentions, among others, the disputes regarding Church schools and Church property, the Marian Congresses of 1983, the Youth Festival in 1985, local reflection fora on Vatican II and on the family, the theological courses for the clergy and the Pastoral Plan for 1986-91. |
