Obituary : Mgr Prof. Vincent Borg

Abstract

The short note marks the demise of Mgr Professor Vincent Borg, a renowned expert in ecclesiastical history and palaeochristian archaeology. His wide-ranging contribution, both locally and internationally, includes his monumental volumes on the history of the Church in Malta, "Melita Sacra". In the latter, Borg sifts through thousands of documents and data, and thus presents - in his customary expert way - a meticulous history of the Church in Malta from mediaeval times to the eighteenth century.
