Abstract: The General Conference at its twentieth session adopted resolution 4/7.6/6 which authorized the Director-General to undertake, in collaboration with the governments concerned, the necessary technical studies within the available budgetary limit, to work out detailed plans of action in respect of each project and to establish modalities for their promotion as international campaigns, and to submit to the Executive Board, during the coming biennium or at the latest to the General Conference at its twenty-first session, reports on the results achieved. The present report is submitted to the Executive Board in order to inform it of the following projects for which the necessary preparatory work has been carried out: (a) Palais Sans-Souci, Citadelle la Ferrière and Site des Ramiers ( Haiti); (b) historic buildings and sites in Malta; (c) architectural heritage of the Island of Gorée (Senegal); (d) outstanding monuments and sites in the cultural triangle in Sri Lanka.
