Abstract: This thesis is a study about the risks that originate from environmental externalities. The research question and analysis are based on how the environment, our health and the economy are affected by environmental externalities. This type of externality is categorised as a negative externality, so the reader can expect negative impacts and repercussions that arise from this environmental problem. The author will discuss various types of environmental externalities such as air pollution, the relationship between Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and the Ozone Layer and the dangers of climate change. These 3 sections will be analysed in great detail by understanding how they originate, their main risks and how they impact the environment, our health and the economy. The author will then suggest methods on how to address the problems of environmental externalities. Apart from using online literature to help us understand the real effects of this research topic, the author also carried out a survey and a regression analysis that will link our research analysis with the literature review.
