| Abstract: | The article commemorates the centenary of the erection of the statue of Christ the Redeemer atop the chapel of St Mary in Tal-Virtu`, Rabat, Malta. The statue was later removed from that vantage point and placed outside the chapel grounds, and later restored (in 1984) and carefully preserved in the grounds of the Archbishop's Seminary, Rabat, not far from its original location. The author presents the historical details of the events in August-September 1901, as well as when the statue was transported to the Seminary in November 1984. |
