Abstract: Background and Objective: Medication-taking places a significant burden on the individual, especially in those requiring long-term medication, which in turn can influence adherence. Considering the important impact medication-related beliefs may play in medication use, exploration of the beliefs in relation to medication-related burden is essential. Therefore, the overall aim of this study was to investigate specific beliefs about medication, medication-related burden, and the interdependence between specific beliefs and burden of medication-taking in community-dwelling adults.
