Abstract: | Manoel theatre presents the programme for the musical thriller "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street". The original musical thriller, which was adapted from Christopher Bond's 1970 play "Sweeney Todd", was written by Hugh Wheeler with music and lyrics written by Stephen Sondheim. Manoel theatre's adaptation of the musical was directed by Lucienne Camilleri, with musical direction from Ryan Paul Abela, and was held from the 17th till the 24th of July, 2022, at the Manoel theatre in Valletta. |
