| Abstract: | The aim of this paper is to provide a brief overview of the product oversight and governance, which has been introduced by Insurance Distribution Directive, by focusing on the monitoring activity now requested to the manufacturers of insurance products. Thus, paper will investigate the content of such an activity that includes the review of the products and of their distribution as well the remedial actions. Some consideration will also be given on the integration of the monitoring activity in the system of internal controls of the manufacturers. |
