Abstract: Introduction: Global consumption of antibiotics in humans has increased by nearly 40% between 2000 and 2010. Non-adherence with antibiotic regimens for community acquired infections is found to be high and the level of knowledge about antibiotics use amongst European countries remains low.
Objectives: To assess whether an educational intervention enhances medication adherence in patients taking antibiotics at community level.
