Abstract: The Faculty of Theology at the University of Malta hosted an international conference over three days, with the purpose of delving into the subject of resilience in a world facing a myriad of challenges. The ultimate objective was to encourage partnership and facilitate the establishment of a more empathetic and responsible society and Church. The conference aimed to initiate dialogue and collaboration with society, acknowledging that the issues faced by our world are a shared adversary that necessitates a joint effort in response. Moreover, the subject was examined within the context of a person’s journey through the sea of life, where one encounters turbulence not only from external factors like winds and tides metaphorically speaking, but also from internal factors, i.e. within oneself.
