Abstract: Modern capitalist systems present the economic actor with a critical problem: uncertainty about the future. Technological innovation disrupts established arrangements; creative choices and novel amalgamations open up new possibilities, while interdependencies of global systems alter economies in unprecedented ways. How can an economic actor make decisions when facing such overwhelming uncertainty about the future?
