Abstract: In pre-war Malta, humour was ingrained in society and part and parcel of Maltese custom and folklore with magazines fully-fledged on quips and cranks wholly dedicated to satire. Malta, should we say had a much more humoristic vein. Dr Brombos illustrates this.
