The Godfrey Wettinger Bequest : an index of his research papers, correspondence, newspaper cuttings, pamphlets and ephemera

Abstract

This finding aid is a listing of the collection of personal papers, including correspondence, research notes and press cuttings which the late Prof. Godfrey Wettinger accumulated during a lifetime of research and teaching. Prof. Wettinger was a medieval historiographer at the University of Malta and dedicated his life to researching the medieval history of the Maltese Islands, with a special interest in the late medieval times in the Middle East and the Mediterranean. Prof. Wettinger bequeathed his whole collection together with his personal library to the University of Malta Library in 2013. This collection is available to all Bona fide researchers for consultation at the Archives and Rare Books Department.
