Abstract: Manoel theatre and Impresa Ines Cantoni present the programme for the 4-act lyric drama "Otello", written by Arrigo Boito with music composed by Giuseppe Verdi, produced by Augusto Cardi, and featuring an orchestra conducted by Franco Patane'. The libretto of this opera is an operatic adaptation of Shakespeare's dramatic play "Othello". The performance was part of Manoel theatre's Italian opera season titled "Stagione lirica Italiana 1963", which was directed by Augusto Cardi, and held in of November, 1963, at the Manoel theatre in Valletta.
Description: Programme includes opera repertoire for Stagione Lirica Italiana 1963 with all featured participants' names, note with photo on featured conductor Maestro Salvatore Allegra, photographs of featured cast and crew in the opera season, synopsis of each act of the opera "Otello" in English, list of cast and crew for the opera, and synopsis of each act of the opera in Maltese.
