Abstract: It is uncommon to find a Second World War first-aid kit, complete with contents, issued by the Air Raid Precautions in Malta. This discovery has prompted the author to delve deeper into how first aid was organised 'in Malta between the years 1940-43. This feature examines first aid within the context of a large co-ordination effort of war departments dealing with casualties and damage resulting from enemy action.
