Abstract: | This work presents plant ·pathogen identifications recorded in the Maltese Islands over the past 40 years. Some of the diseases caused by these pathogens have been known to exist on Malta and Gozo for even longer. However, either the pathogens were not identified or the identifications were never recorded. In the following tables, fungi, bacteria, viruses and nematodes are listed along with the host plants from which they were isolated. The general location of each isolation is also recorded. If an area name is found on both Malta and Gozo, the entry refers to Malta unless otherwise noted. Table 1, the host-pathogen index, lists host plants in alphabetical order followed by all pathogens isolated from those plants. Table 2, the pathogen-host index, lists all plant pathogens identified in the Maltese Islands and the host plants they were isolated from. Table 3 is a glossary of common English plant names followed by their Maltese equivalent. |
