My Lord, The following account of our stewardship here for the past twelve months is now submitted to your Lordship, and the public.
The Inspector of Industrial Schools made his Annual Examination on the 11th December last.
The following is what he says of us in his Twentieth Report, recently published :- " State of premises - I found the home in fair '' order. Beds and bedding clean, and properly "attended to. The playground was in a bad state. " Plans for the erection of a new building at a " greater distance from London, are in course of " preparation.
"Health and general condition :-satisfactory. " One death in the year. Boys looked in very fair " health. [Excerpt]
