| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre presents the programme for the gala premier of the 3-act opera "Caterina Desguanez", written by Ivo Muscat Azzopardi, with music composed by Carmelo Pace. The opera was an adaptation of Ġużè Muscat Azzopardi's drama under the same name, and featured an orchestra conducted by Joseph Sammut. The first performance was held on the 27th of October, 1965, at the Manoel theatre in Valletta. Subsequent performances of the opera were held on the 29th and the 31st of October, 1965, in the same location as the premier performance. |
