| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and Circolo Dante Alighieri, with the auspices of the Embassy of Italy, present the programme of a vocal and instrumental concert held in celebration of the 700th anniversary of the birth of Italian author Dante Alighieri, featuring the pianist Maestro Giorgio Egea. The concert was split into two parts: The first part was conducted by Maestro Antonio Brainovich while the second part was conducted by Maestro Ino Savini. The concert featured the musical works of Bellini, Verdi, Puccini, Gounod, Giordano, Rossini, Donizetti and Bizet. The performance was held on the 19th of November, 1965, at the Manoel theatre in Valletta. |
