Abstract:	This chapter will discuss two separate projects taking place in the Cottonera area, led by two organisations: Integrated Resource Management (IRM Co. Ltd.) and Centru Tbexbix respectively. This socially deprived area in Malta is going through a transition period. The chapter will focus particularly on Bormla and Senglea, which have been earmarked for regeneration. The residents there want regeneration and revitalisation projects to take place in the area, but they also want to be involved in deciding which types of projects are viable for their area, how they are undertaken, and where.
