dc.description.abstractManoel Theatre and the Malta Song Festival Board present the programme for the National Pianists' Contest, featuring the musical works of Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Debussy, Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt. The contesting pianists participating in this event were the following: Marthese Gauci. Joe Chetcuti, Edwin Demarco, Vincent Borg, Louise Gerada, Simone Camilleri, Anne Gauci, Evelyn Caruana Galizia, and Julie Cassar. The contest, which was presented by the compere Charles Arrigo, was held on the 26th of May, 1966, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.en_GB
