dc.description.abstractAndre' Suban ħalla Trieste u wasal Malta f'Marzu tal-1849, hu sab postu l-Birgu iżżewweġ u fetaħ ħanut fi triq Strada Merkanti fejn kien kien isewwi arloggi ta' kull tip, kif ukoll ibiegħ aċċessorji Ii għandhom x'jaqsmu mas-sengħa tiegħu. Barra ħamest ibniet, kellu tewmin subien, Lorenzo u Giuseppe u malli dawn tfarfru beda jeħodhom miegħu l-ħanut, biex inissel fihom in-namra għax-xogħol. Dan sewa għaliex Andre' miet ta' 55 sena meta t-tewmin kellhom 15 il-sena u kienu kapaċi jlestu sistem ġdida li kien beda missierhom fl-arloġġ tal-fran tas-servizzi tal-Birgu. Dan kien il-bidu tal-karriera għal aħwa Suban, fejn ipperfezzjonaw mudelli oriġinali li ġabulhom fama u unuri anke barra minn Malta.en_GB
