| Abstract: | The talk starts with a review of the history of environmental management in Malta, then proceeds to outline the key environmental pressures and issues, as well as the main findings on wellbeing in Malta. The links between the environment and wellbeing are then reviewed, starting with anecdotal and correlational evidence, and concluding with causal evidence of the relationship in Malta. The talk then reviews policy options and concludes with some insights for environmental managers, mental health professionals as well as suggestions for further research. |
