Abstract: This study is a quantitative, non-experimental and retrospective study. • The focus of this study was to instil awareness among radiographers about the importance of collimation. • Collimation is a form of optimisation leading to reduction of radiation dose to the patient. • Collimators limit the x-ray beam to a specific area (Thayalan,2004).
