This study investigates the ramifications of greylisting on the stability and sustainability of nations, with a specific focus on Malta, Iceland, Pakistan, and the Philippines. Greylisting, because of noncompliance with international financial regulations, has the potential to disrupt economic and political landscapes, affecting a country's stability and sustainability. This research aims to analyse and compare the unique impacts of greylisting on these selected countries and provide insights into the underlying factors contributing to their varying responses. Employing the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) methodology, the study comprehensively analyses available literature, reports, and empirical data. This approach allows for a rigorous evaluation of the multifaceted impacts of greylisting on economic growth, political stability, financial systems, investor confidence, and international relations within each country. The analysis results provide a nuanced understanding of the impacts of greylisting on the stability and sustainability of the selected nations. Through a comparative lens, the study unveils the divergent outcomes and adaptive strategies undertaken by Malta, Iceland, Pakistan, and the Philippines in response to greylisting. By identifying commonalities and variations, this research contributes to a broader comprehension of the challenges of greylisting and the subsequent policy implications that can mitigate its adverse effects. Ultimately, this study advances the understanding of the intricate relationship between greylisting and country stability and sustainability. The findings are expected to offer valuable insights for policymakers, international organisations, and researchers aiming to address the complexities of financial compliance, governance, and the broader implications for countries facing greylisting.en_GB
