| Abstract: | In his book A City by an Order, Roger de Giorgio published a drawing of the Auberge de Castille which, he says, was reconstructed from a painting, It shows a long single-storied facade with a semi-basement; a facade which is un-characteristic of Cassar's work but due to its relative plainness, its tall straight-headed windows and Mannerist style passes off easily as a late 16th century building. |
