Abstract: At the heart of the professional teacher training course is the teaching practice, also known as field placement or practicum. Six weeks of full immersion in the school's reality, and above all teaching specific subject/ s according to one's specialisation. The teaching practice is fundamental to the successful completion of the B.Ed. (Hons.) and P.G.C.E. course. This is demonstrated by the study-unit's weight: 32 ECTS for all sessions of teaching practice in the four-year B.Ed. (Hons.); 14 ECTS for two teaching practice sessions in the one-year P.G.C.E.
