Abstract: | The fluidity of the body, dematerialising the material: it’s both a state of creation and de-creation. Recreation is not possible in this space for that would entail a reliance on pervading influence, bringing with it a type of anxiety Harold Bloom refers to in his seminal work The Anxiety of Influence. The anxiety here is of a different sort. What appears to be a contradiction between the two terms of creation and de-creation can also be seen as an analogy: de-creation is a form of creation.
