Assimilations

Abstract

Architecture constantly deals with the issue of introducing proposed elements within an environment of existing elements. The aim of this thesis research is to investigate the possibility of assimilating proposed elements within existing elements through the layering of external and internal pressures and their interaction. The main driver for the assimilation is the intensification and densification of the existing elements and their communication with newly introduced elements. The research will try to achieve an assimilation that would create architecture that is similar to the existing, but also distinct; an architecture that relates to its parts the same way that it relates to its surroundings.
