Abstract

The cultural and natural heritage of il-Qrendi is quite interesting and to some extent unique, with several surprises awaiting the visitor to discover while moving through the old, narrow, and winding streets or wandering through the countryside or along the coast. All one needs is an attentive eye and a curious mindset: the parish church, some wayside chapels, a few imposing countryside palaces, a sprinkle of defensive structures, a substantial presence of farmhouses and vernacular abodes, balconies, niches, the many cultivated fields, the rugged valleys, the splendid blue sea, and much, much more.
