Abstract: Manoel Theatre presents the programme of a music and ballet event held in aid of the Residential Home for the Handicapped (Siggiewi), featuring pianist Marian Coppini, soprano singer Antoinette, and the pupils of Princess Nathalie Poutiatine's Russian Academy of Dancing. The first (concert) part of the programme featured the musical works of Schumann, Liszt, Cilèa,Puccini, and Verdi, and included the accompaniment of Maestro Albert Manchè. The second (ballet) part of the programme featured ballet performances to the musical works of Strauss, Chopin, Rossini, Tchaikovsky and Delibes amongst others, which were all choreographed by Princess Nathalie Poutiatine. The event was held on the 6th and the 7th of June, 1970, at the Manoel Theatre in Valletta.
Description: Programme includes list of featured music including composers and performers where applicable with performers' signatures, list of crew from Manoel theatre, list of crew from the Russian Academy of Dancing, note with photo on the Residential Home for the handicapped Siggiewi, and list of forthcoming events at the Manoel Theatre.
