Abstract: Manoel Theatre presents the programme for the 3-act Maltese opera "Caterina Desguanez", written by Ivo Muscat Azzopardi, with music composed by Carmelo Pace, and directed by Vincenzo Maria (V. M.) Pellegrini. The opera featured an orchestra conducted by Mro. Joseph Sammut, and the Jesus of Nazareth Choir. The performance was held on the 24th, the 25th, and the 31st of October, and on the 1st of November, 1970, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Programme includes photos with signatures of composer Mro. Carmelo Pace, conductor Mro. Joseph Sammut, director V. M. Pellegrini, actor/singers Hilda Mallia Tabone, Joe Fenech, Joe Vella Bondin, Joe Huber, Ronald Azzopardi Caffari, Rachel Floridia, Frank Galea, Edwin Rizzo and Miriam Muscat Manduca and wardrobe mistress Maria Pisani, list of cast, list of crew with some signatures, note of acknowledgements, and synopsis of each act in the opera.
