Abstract: The three greatest conversions recorded in the history of the Church are those of St. Paul, St. Augustine, and St. Ignatius of Loyola. Saul of Tharsus was a furious persecutor of the young Church of Christ. He was n1ade the greatest of her Apostles, who "laboured more abundantly than all they."* Augustine of Hippo was a leader and light amongst the Manichean heretics.
