Abstract: This dissertation explores the historical marginalization and oppression faced by the Amazigh community in Morocco. Furthermore, it discusses the emergence of the Argan oil industry and its socioeconomic impact on the Amazigh community. This research adopts both sociological and economic theoretical approaches. Furthermore, this dissertation utilizes a historical trace analysis, commencing from the colonial era of Morocco to the Hirak Rif Movement. It employs a mixed-method approach to address the overarching themes within this paper. The historical trace analysis within this paper offers a comprehensive examination of the history of marginalization within the Amazigh community and its role in sparking ethnic conflicts within Morocco.
