| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and Il Teatro Municipale di Piacenza present the programme for the 3-act operatic drama "Tosca", adapted to opera from Victorien Sardou's play under the same name by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, with music composed by Giacomo Puccini, and produced by Cesare Barlacchi. The opera featured an orchestra conducted by Giuseppe Ruisi. The opera was part of Manoel theatre's series "La Stagione Lirica Tradizionale 1972", which was directed by Tonino Pipi and Cesare Barlacchi, and held in May, 1972, at the Manoel theatre in Valletta. This particular opera was held on the 20th and the 24th of May. |
