Abstract: | Peppi Azzopardi is probably one of the most liked and disliked personalities in Malta all at one go. He is one of the few, if any, in this country who is ready to challenge the status quo, who confronts a system that is not only set in its ways but finds it increasingly difficult to defy the status quo. In fact over the last 15 years or so, especially since he has been anchoring Xarabank, he keeps raising issues that few dare question and discuss, namely; divorce, an array of issues related to our criminal justice system, LGBTi+ matters, unresolved cold cases like the infamous murders of Giga’s son Toni, Karen Grech and Raymond Caruana, amongst other. |
