Abstract: | This project centres on developing a bundle of resources tailored to adult learners in healthcare education. These resources have been designed to fit the six characteristics of adult learners as identified by Knowles et al. (2020). The bundle consists of six case studies, six activity plans, and a PowerPoint presentation, with a focus on bridging the gap between theory and practice. Positive outcomes include engaging and relatable scenarios,hands-on experiences, and boosting of critical occupational and transversal skills in the healthcare setting. The project has faced challenges, such as limited testing opportunities; nevertheless, it still recommends extensive piloting of resources to ensure they are targeting a wider audience of adult learners. This effort seeks to continuously enhance and update the resources in order to maintain relevance and effectiveness for adult learners in the dynamic healthcare industry. |
