Abstract: | Studying the documents of Second Vatican Council is especially topical on the 55th anniversary of its conclusion. One of the greatest achievements of the Council was to present the doctrine of the Church through a pastoral vision, that of making the mystery of God and salvation meaningful to the contemporary world. Dei Verbum (DV) and Gaudium et spes (GS), while differing in scope and content, achieve this objective in the doctrine crystallised within them. |
